As someone who started wearing makeup every day in middle school, I have spent almost 2 decades curating my current makeup routine. Some products have remained the same for literal YEARS, and others have changed as I have found products that work better or as beauty trends have evolved (RIP the skinny eyebrow + silver eyeshadow days of 2008).
I have always felt the most confident with makeup on, and I may be in the minority when I say I actually enjoy getting ready in the morning! I also filmed a full tutorial on Instagram.

PREP + PRIME:
I always start with a clean face + my favorite moisturizer. I recently started using Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer as my morning moisturizer and so far I love it (and it’s affordable!). I follow this with the REFY Blur + Hydrate primer. I love that it has a built-in applicator!
FACE:
I am naturally very pale, and I am ALWAYS fake tanned. I use foundation to bring color + an even skin tone to my face. MAC Studio Fix is my HOLY GRAIL foundation that I have used for close to a decade—I’m in shade NC17. I am always open to trying other foundations and I have definitely found some I love, but I always go back to MAC. It is long wearing + full coverage, but still feels lightweight. I have recently been applying it using the Makeup by Mario dual-ended foundation brush. It is a little bit of a splurge but in my opinion SO WORTH IT!
CHEEKS:
Another holy grail product in my routine is the Benefit Hoola Bronzer, I have used it for years and it is probably the only product in my routine I never stray from. It is a bit on the pricier end, but it lasts forever! I place this under my cheekbones, along the jawline, along the hairline, and on the sides of my nose to bring color + dimension back to my face. For blush lately, I have been loving the Tarte Stay Golden Amazonian Clay blush in the shade Lavish. This came in a 5 piece set with 4 blush colors, a highlighter, and a blush brush! Unfortunately, I do not see it sold separately from the set, but my other go-to blush is Gucci Luminous Matte blush in shade 07. For highlighter, I use Anatasia Beverly Hills Glow Seeker in Champagne Gold on the highpoints of my face. When I tell you this product is LITERAL GOLD, I mean it! It has the prettiest natural finish and adds the perfect glow. I finish my face with Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish setting powder which is like a literal IRL blurring filter.
EYES:
I am not super picky about my eyeshadow palettes, I typically use Morphe, Too Faced, or Tarte. I grab Too Faced or Tarte palettes when they are on sale, but I have found Morphe is similar quality + less expensive! You can recreate this look with any warm toned neutral palette with matte shadows.
Using the Morphe Rich & Foiled Gold Seeker palette, I first go in with shade Creme De Le Creme as a base, blending it inwards to the corners of my eyes. Then I add a mix of shades Cents & Sensibility + Have Your Cake to the crease, adding contrast to the outer corners of my eyes.
I have been less heavy on eye makeup since getting lash extensions, so I don’t feel like I need the heavier winged liquid liner I used to wear—instead, I’ve been going in with the a brown Revlon Colorstay pencil eyeliner on my upper water line. However, for a special occasion, I would likely add my signature winged liner on the lid using the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen. To add definition under my eye, I smudge the same shadows I used in my crease along my lower lashline. Since I currently have lash extensions, I am not using a mascara—but I would typically use Maybelline Lash Sensational or Tartelette XL Tubing Mascara!
BROWS:
As a recovering over-plucker in the 2000s, my eyebrows have always been sparse and thin. I finally decided to get them microbladed to add fullness + shape them to fit my face!

Even though my brows are microbladed, I still like to fill them in to look a bit sharper. My favorite brow pencil is the Benefit Precisely My Brow pencil, BUT If you are looking for a less pricy option the Elf Ultra Precise Brow pencil is also great! A new thing I have added to my routine is the Maybelline Super Lock Brow Glue to set my brows in place, which I have been LOVING.
LIPS:
I love a natural nude lip, and I try to match my natural lip color the best I can—and I think I have cracked the code with this combo! I start by lining my lips with my all-time favorite Makeup Forever lip liner in shade Wherever Walnut. I follow this with Makeup by Mario SuperSatin lipstick in shade Midtown. I feel like I have been searching for this lip color for basically … my entire life. It is the perfect neutral pinky nude! Finally, I top this with NYX Butter Gloss in shade Creme Brulee.
SET & FORGET!
Last but not least, I set my face with the Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray, but I have also been using the Milani Make it Last setting spray and I may actually like it better + it is a fraction of the price!!
